Horse Riding in Wales

Horses play a big part in rural Ceredigion life. The county is famous for its trotting race meets, and the Welsh Festival of Harness Racing is held in Tregaron every July. Stallions, Welsh Cobs and Shire horses are celebrated at the Barley Saturday Parade in Cardigan in April and local shows during the summer. For holiday rides, whether short rein led ones for children or full day rides for the more experienced rider with a picnic stop or at a local pub, the Rheidol Riding Centre offers a good range of activities.
