Eco-friendly self-catering holiday cottages in Wales

Banceithin is a 10 acre smallholding nestled in a secluded valley near the small village of Bethania, in Ceredigion, West Wales. Set between the Cambrian Mountains to the east and Cardigan Bay to the west, Banceithin is perfectly located for exploring the stunning scenery of the Ceredigion countryside and the unspoilt beaches.

We have two luxury detached self catering holiday cottages at Banceithin, Hen Ffermdy cottage and Cwt Mochyn cottage. Both are newly renovated former farm buildings blending modern interior design and facilities with the character and original features of the traditional Welsh stone buildings.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality holiday accommodation while minimising the impact on the environment. Our principal aim is to run Banceithin and our self catering cottages as sustainably as possible.

Cardigan Bay has a reputation for fine local produce, and the menus of many of the pubs and restaurants in the area regularly feature Welsh lamb and beef, fresh seafood and locally caught fish, along with local cheeses. At Banceithin we are lucky to have some of West Wales’ finest restaurants within 20 minutes drive, as well as a local country pub serving real ale.

Also, within easy reach of Banceithin are the towns of Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and Lampeter, plus beaches, scenic walks, cycle routes, fishing lakes and rivers, golf courses and many other attractions.

But if you don't want to go anywhere at all, relax in the peaceful surroundings of Banceithin - listen to the frogs in the pond, watch the red kites soar above the fields, or maybe just spend your day chatting to the chickens.

You can view the availability and prices of our holiday cottages online or contact us for more information.
